Tomorrow night at Summerhill… BALBOA IS BACK! 🤩 Whether you’re polishing up your dancing after the break, or just starting out, we have something in the lesson plan for everyone.
Not sure what Balboa is? Well it’s a compact swing dance style from Southern California in the 1920’s, loosely related to Charleston and Lindy Hop.

Hello! We’re delighted to say we’ll be dancing at Summerhill EVERY Monday, starting with Lindy Hop on February 14th then alternating with Balboa from Feb 21st.
Doors 7pm, beginner-friendly class 7.30pm, social dancing 8.30pm onwards. £7/£4 social only. All welcome.
Please note: this is a transition phase for Swing Tyne as we re-enter a new normal, build people’s confidence on the dance floor and establish the demand for lessons. One, single-level class (alternating between Lindy Hop and Balboa for now, with Collegiate Shag tasters coming soon) will be followed by music for all swing dancers.
We look forward to seeing some familiar faces and welcoming brand new ones!
