Get your feet ready for exciting moves and comfortable connection techniques!
Saturday night – Peter will give a talk on ‘The Art of Social Dancing’ before everyone gets to invade the dance floor at 8pm!
This workshop won’t be suitable for complete novices, so you will need to have some basic knowledge and be looking to improve on the skills and experience you already have.
Come May 20th, you’ll have been dancing for a couple months!
Roadmap to the workshop for the 3 dance styles:
Lindy Hop – you will have an appreciation of basic footwork – quicks and slows, triple steps and rock steps. Closed and open position, tuck turns and pass by’s.
Bal – you’ll have covered basic footwork – down hold and up hold basic, basic hold for closed and open position, come around, throw out and lollies, paddles and out & ins.
Shag – you’ll have covered basic 6 count footwork, some breaks, tuck turns, slows and quicks, send out and bring back.
