It’s the start of a new year and we will be off to a great start on Monday 5th January with our regular program of Balboa and Lindy hop.

Why not bring a friend ? Their lessons will be free for their 1st visit and it’s a great way to start the year , great exercise , fabulous company and great wellbeing all round.

Join Swing Tyne for a free swing taster class, then swing out to a live set from Hot Club de Heaton, plus Djs playing the hottest dance music of the 1920s,30s,40s and 50s- big band swing, jazz manicure, jumpin’jive , rockin’rhytm ‘n’ blues
Fully licensed bar , non dancers welcome

The Bucket and card machine will be on site to take cash and card for Pay As You Feel this is more about the vibe than the money.

Just a reminder that Swing Tyne is ON tonight with one class for all at Summerhill starting from 19:30 and then an extended Christmas social from 20:30-22:30 🎄

So there’s lots happening over the next few days / weeks / months so we’ve tried to keep everything in date order for you. 

Today Monday 15th December it’s classes as usual with our last 

Collegiate Shag and Lindy hop lessons

we have the @Magies of swing playing at our Social tonight.

Then on Monday 22nd December 19.30 its a 1 venue for everyone at Summer Hill followed by a social 20.30-22.30( No st Matthews)

There’s no class on the 29th as we are hosting at a New Year’s Day social as usual obviously on the 

1st January. 14.00-18.00 all takings will go to our chosen Charity as usual.( Shelter Charity)

 Friday 10th Jan is where you can get your blues dancing fix at Hoodoo.Blues lets you explore a different musical landscape, giving you more ways to enjoy and express yourself when the music slows down.

Whether you’re new to blues or have been dancing for a while, this is the perfect place to enjoy great music, dance, and social connection. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level!

At the Globe. Class at 7:30, dancing till midnight. Cost £7.50/£10.

York SU are hosting whip-ma-wop-ma- hop 22/22rd so keep an eye out for tickets.

And on the 23rd February we will have our Annual general meeting and we’d love for you all to join us for the evening.This is where the old committee members finish their year and old & new members take up the reigns for the next year.Plans are put forward for events for the next year and There will be a free social dance afterwards.
