14th Nov – Hoodoo Blues: dance class and party
Would you like to try Blues dancing? Hoodoo blues has a class followed by social dancing this Saturday. Join them for a fantastic evening of blues dancing, starting with a beginner-friendly class. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy blues, groovy moves, and a welcoming dance community.

Have you been enjoying Slow Bal class over the summer? We’ve got a Slow Balboa day workshop with Sarah and Graeme coming up! Designed for everyone — from new dancers and improvers. (Please omit the mention of auditions in the T&Cs, it doesnt applies to this workshop, it is totally beginner-friendly.)
5th Dec – Swing Tyne Winter Ball
This year, we’re excited to welcome the Castle Rock Jazz Band, travelling all the way from Edinburgh to bring us some fantastic live jazz for an evening of social dancing. What’s even more exciting? We’re keeping ticket prices the same as in previous years! It’s our little way of saying thank you to all our members and dancers across the region for being part of Swing Tyne and supporting us throughout 2026.
12th Dec – Bal brunch – Christmas Special
Hosted by Geoff and Mim, the monthly free Bal Brunch returns to Holy Hobo! Come along for a relaxed afternoon of dancing, a bring-and-share table, and a bring-and-buy vintage rail. It’s a friendly and welcoming event, especially for newer dancers! Please note for the revised time – 1230-15:45.
