Next Monday, we’ll have Lindy Hop and Balboa classes, with two levels in two venues. Check out the poster for all the details!
We’re always welcoming new dancers to our classes and community, and your first visit to Swing Tyne is completely free! So why not bring a friend along and give it a dance? 😎

10th Oct – Hoodoo Blues: dance class and party
Would you like to try Blues dancing? Hoodoo blues has a class followed by social dancing this Saturday. Join them for a fantastic evening of blues dancing, starting with a beginner-friendly class.
31st Oct – Bal brunch – Baloween
Hosted by Geoff and Mim, the monthly free Bal Brunch returns to Holy Hobo! Come along for a relaxed afternoon of dancing, a bring-and-share table, and a bring-and-buy vintage rail. It’s a friendly and welcoming event, especially for newer dancers! This month, we’ll also have live music from The Hot Club De Heaton, playing from 15:30–16:30. Come along, grab a dance, and enjoy the afternoon with us!
2nd Nov – Magpie of Swing at Monday’s Social
Magpie of Swing is returning to play us some fantastic swing tunes! Performance starts from 9pm, right after classes. Come along for an unforgettable night of social and good vibe!
7th Nov – Durham Uni Swing Society – Autumn Swing Ball
Join them for an evening of swing dancing and live music! The event begins with a beginner-friendly lindy hop dance class at 7:00 pm, followed by a social dance with live music from the Magpies of Swing.
15th Nov – Slow Balboa day workshop
Have you been enjoying Slow Bal class over the summer? We’ve got a Slow Balboa day workshop with Sarah and Graeme coming up! Designed for everyone — from new dancers and improvers, to those looking to switch roles or hone their existing skills. (Please omit the mention of auditions in the T&Cs, it doesnt applies to this workshop – it is totally beginner-friendly.)
