On Monday 23rd February, we’ll be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM). There will be no lessons that night, but social dancing will follow. We strongly encourage everyone to attend!
Why do we have an AGM?
- Your voice matters – It gives members the chance to share ideas, provide feedback and help shape the future of Swing Tyne.
- Accountability – It ensures the committee remains accountable. Members contribute through entry fees, and it’s important to show how these funds are spent.
- Committee election – General voting where outgoing committee members step down, and new or re-elected members take over for the next 12 months.
Constitution changes
After over 15 years, we’re proposing a small refresh to the constitution to bring certain points up-to-date and make it easier to run events like Summer Tyne Swing. The proposed changes will be discussed and put to a vote at the AGM.
